Our Latest Site Visit!

February 2019

Our latest string of site visits took us to the Scottish Borders this week where one of our projects starts on site later this month.

The proposals include a garage and bedroom extension with connecting glazed staircase, the landing of which overlooks the stunning North Sea views out to the Isle of May, Crail and the Torness Power Station to the North West.

The barn itself is a derelict cattle barn with some interesting artefacts in and we are looking forward to progressing and working with the contractor for a really interesting home for our client.

We have proposed the existing roof is removed, and feature trusses run along the first floor, providing informally created spaces for the living, dining and kitchen areas.

We have consciously retaining the existing pink sand stone quoin stones, and will replace those that are eroded beyond repair, new openings will be treated with the same material.
