Planning Committee Members approved the planning application for this front 2 storey extension at 11pm on the 28th May.
This is excellent news as this 1930’s home needed a complete regeneration and breath of life after it has not been touched since the 1970’s!
With very steep stairs, no wheelchair access, a bathroom with a sink over the bath, it is understood that the only major works have been to replace the original windows to uPVC.
Committee Members celebrated the innovation of the scheme which aims to replace and relocate the existing stair, create a new shower room at ground floor giving the property better facilities and access for those who might usually be less abled. All external walls will receive insulation, the heating and plumbing system is to be replaced as well as all electrical items.
This extension will be the first of its kind on it’s street and a welcome one from what we hear!
